Color LCD Screen for Intuitive Operation

Control is built into the VG4 with a user-friendly, responsive 7" touchscreen that streamlines everyday operation. See remaining ink levels, printer status, print time, and more at the touch of a button. Once print conditions are set in the RIP, prints can be selected and sent directly from the printer.

Efficient Media Setup for High-quality Output

Accurate media setup is designed to support consistent, high-quality output with minimal adjustment. Stored media presets can be saved and recalled at the touch of a button, helping operators achieve repeatable results quickly across different materials and job types.

Take-up Unit as Standard for Easy Media Management

For long runs and easier handling, the VG4 includes a take-up unit to simplify media loading and support more stable production. This helps to reduce manual intervention and enables efficient print and cut workflows from setup through finishing.

The latest printhead, and Roland DG's proprietary control technology enable ultra-fine, high-density droplet control, allowing for vivid, high-definition output with fewer passes. Combined with TR3 ink options (including new Red) and True Rich Color settings, the VG4 Series supports smoother gradients, cleaner neutrals, and more accurate reproduction of brand colors. The result is premium graphics that remain consistent across repeated jobs and varied media, supporting reliable quality in day-to-day production.

Reliable Print & Cut Productivity

Built on Roland DG’s print & cut expertise, the VG4 Series introduces workflow improvements for stable output on longer print or print & cut runs. Enhanced, in-sync take-up control supports continuous output and helps maintain media handling during production. Perforation cut allows simplified print separation and continued take-up to reduce post-print finishing time for sticker, label and decal work. These features help maintain throughput and consistency, enabling efficient turnaround while ensuring dependable quality and cutting accuracy across a wide range of applications.

Smarter Operation and Remote Control

The VG4 Series is engineered to reduce operational steps and support efficient production management. After print conditions are set in VersaWorks, jobs can be selected and started from the printer’s 7" touch panel with the new Direct Print feature. Users can view VersaWorks queues on the touchscreen and send files to output - ideal when the printer and computer are in different rooms, or when quick reprints are needed. Roland DG Connect supports guided setup and remote checks to help maintain a stable output environment.

TR3 eco-solvent inks let you tailor your VG4 Series printer/cutter to your applications, from Dual CMYK for high productivity to expanded ink sets of up to eight colors for richer color, smoother gradients, and more accurate brand matching. TR3 ink configurations now include a new Red option, alongside Orange, Green, Light Black, and high-opacity White for window graphics and speciality output. Combined with Roland Intelligent Pass Control for stable droplet control and layering, the VG4 Series delivers consistent, premium results while keeping ink use efficient.
