Product Description

The Roland VersaCAMM SP-i is the perfect high-performance production tool for creating colorful decals, labels, banners, posters, vehicle and floor graphics, apparel decoration and just about any sign imaginable.

The Roland VersaCAMM SP-i series is the industrys most versatile entry-level large format printer/cutter. Roland Intelligent Pass Control technology virtually eliminates banding by optimizing masking patterns and dot placement at the edge of each pass and offers print speeds that are up to 50 percent faster than the previous models in Standard print mode.

Print/Cut Advantage
The VersaCAMM SP-i series streamlines the production process by automatically contour cutting printed graphics. By eliminating the need to reload and reposition graphics, the VersaCAMM’s integrated cutters save time and effort.

Roland Intelligent Pass Control
Roland Intelligent Pass Control technology developed by Roland software engineers represents the pinnacle of inkjet printing. This patent-pending system precisely controls dot placement between passes and delivers unprecedented imaging performance in all resolutions. The technology actually enhances image quality at higher print speeds thereby increasing productivity. As a result, the SP-i series produces smooth gradations and flawless solid colors while achieving faster throughput with virtually no banding in all print modes.

ECO-SOL MAX is a remarkable innovation in ink technology. Building on Rolands award-winning eco-solvent ink, ECO-SOL MAX offers fast drying time, high density, wide color gamut, scratch resistance, low cost per square foot, and broad uncoated media support. In addition, ECO-SOL MAX is virtually odorless and does not require any special ventilation or environmental equipment. ECO-SOL MAX graphics are water, scratch and UV resistant up to 3 years outdoors*.

* Outdoor durability is based on accelerated weather tests. Results may vary depending upon location and application. Dry times vary depending on specific media characteristics. Lamination may be required for some applications or environmental conditions.

VersaWorks RIP Software
VersaWorks is powerful RIP software developed by Roland engineers for the companys inkjet and cutting technologies. Built upon the genuine Adobe PostScript CPSI RIP engine, VersaWorks features an efficient graphical user interface that allows users to maximize their Roland equipment without a lengthy learning curve.

VersaWorks is packed with features including Roland Color, Rolands exclusive spot color fidelity system, Variable Data Printing, the Max Impact preset for richer color contrast and a wide variety of convenient layout, edit and print functions such as nesting, tiling and auto/manual-layout. In addition, VersaWorks uses Roland Intelligent Pass Control to optimize the output quality on the SP series.

With VersaWorks, users can preview jobs on screen, reducing ink and media consumption due to mistakes. VersaWorks also estimates the ink usage and print time for each graphic produced. There are two job queues for handling different print conditions and users can automatically update VersaWorks through the Internet, ensuring that they always have the latest software version and Roland DGA ICC profiles available.

VersaWorks is designed for production environments and can control up to four Roland devices including printers, print/cutters and cutters. Crop marks can be printed for an automated print/laminate/cut workflow. VersaWorks is compatible with Windows XP/Vista operating systems.

Integrated Heater System
The SP-300i and SP-540i include an integrated two-stage heater system which dries prints quickly even in High-Speed mode for immediate finishing, installation or collection by the take-up system. The system features two components: a print heater to accelerate ink fastness and brightness, and a dryer to accelerate the drying process and improve productivity, workability and scratch resistance. Heater settings are either user adjustable at the control panel or set within the VersaWorks media settings.
